Biography
Dr. Rushforth is a cultural anthropologist and linguistic anthropologist who studies American Indian language, culture, and society. He is especially interested in Athapaskan languages and cultures.
Current Research
Dr. Rushforth has recently been working on language preservation projects at the Mescalero Apache Reservation in southern New Mexico. Presently, he is completing a medical dictionary to be used at the Mescalero Hospital and as a supplement to materials in bilingual programs.
