Expertise: Cultural Anthropology, Anthropology

Biography

I am a cultural anthropologist with interests in foodways and families. I have worked on research and volunteer projects involving school gardens, military families, and medical anthropology. My graduate research project centered on narratives of women exploring their food journeys from childhood into adulthood and the impacts early foodways had on their food choices following being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Prior to becoming an anthropologist, I worked for several years in the field of genealogy. During that time, I was engaged in conducting archival research and presenting findings in a subscription publication series.
